About Us

The Young Haitian American Professionals Society, also known as YHAPS, is a volunteer community-based organization that promotes educational, professional, and personal development of Haitian-born high school students. We are committed to empowering students to realize their academic potentials, to become professionals, and to contribute toward a better society. Through the Empowering for Academic Growth and Leadership Excellence (EAGLE) program, YHAPS helps teens adjust to academic and social life in Stamford.

Our Mission

The mission of YHAPS is to empower students to realize their full potential by becoming successful professionals in the field of their choice.
